I have a jaws question, and hope someone would know the answer to this:
When jaws encounters something in another language, it automatically starts reading in that language. How do you turn this off? I like my jaws to speek really fast, but it's hard to understand it when it starts reading in Spanish at that speed, and so I'd rather read it by characters or at least not try to pronounce it in Spanish as it's not any kind of real speek voice or anything. Does anyone know how to do this?
Go into configuration manager with jaws key + 6. Press ctrl+shift+d to go into default configuration. Go to the settings menu, and choose text processing. Tab until you hear the "detect languages" checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox. Tab to ok. CTRL+s to save, and close the window.
